Ashlyn loved the disney princess band-aids from the Easter Bunny. She apparently had more "boo-boos" than ever because she used up half the box in one sitting!

April Adventures

Ashlyn is such a big girl now. She can pull Kailey and Jace all by herself!

One Sunday after church, we were all sitting on the front porch steps enjoying some smoothies and family time together. I just had to snap a photo.

Here's Jace hanging out with his buddy Braydon, who is 4 months older. Jace had just learned to sit up and was still a little unstable, as you can see in this next photo.

This cracks me up because it looks like Braydon pushed him over and is crawling away with a mischievous smile:)

She was the youngest in the class and was so well-behaved. She followed instructions and answered questions. She was so excited to go each week. It was sweet for me to observe her learn and grow and have her own activity separate from Ashlyn.

Happy Birthday Kailey

Kailey turned 2 on March 30 and with this milestone came a new sense of maturity. We had many "firsts" occur on her actual birthday. Instead of a quiet, mellow car ride to the gym, Kailey talked and talked and sang and asked questions, she even demanded a few things. Wow- who is this child, I thought. Of course, it's my new 2-year-old. When we arrived at the Kids Club where Kailey plays, she did not fuss or cling to me as she often does. For the first time ever, she went straight to the picnic table, planted herself in the middle of the other kids, took out her snack and started eating. As I stood in shock & joy, Kailey turned to me and said "huggy, huggy." I gave her a hug and she said "bye-bye" as if to let me know that it was time for me to leave now. Wow- this 2-year-old stuff is the real deal!!!

We had a family party at home to celebrate and invited over our friends, The Phillip's to join us.

Whether on purpose or by accident, Kailey's toe landed a scoop of frosting on it and she was more than happy to lick it off:)

Storytime with Daddy

One day I asked Ashlyn to find Jace a toy to play with. She said she knew just what he'd enjoy, as she rummaged through a box full of toys. Then, out came this pink Barbie...just what he was hoping for I'm sure! To top it off, she found him a matching pink Tiara. Poor Jace, this is only the beginning I'm afraid...

First Trip To Disneyland

On March 4th, 2011, Disneyland proved to be a magical place! We have been waiting until the girls were old enough to enjoy the rides & entertainment and we thought it would be fun to plan the trip when Phil's parents were in town to join us.

As you can see, Ashlyn chose to wear her Snow White princess dress for most of the morning.

Above, here are the girls with Grammie Mary Ann, preparing for a fun day of adventure.

Ashlyn meeting Snow White was a precious moment. Believe it or not, I got tears in my eyes. It was beautiful watching my little girl's dreams come true as she got to see, talk with and hug Snow White. Plus, those Disneyland princesses are so skilled in knowing just what to say to make the experience special. It was a magical moment for sure!

Now on to the carousel...always a favorite for everyone

Kailey's face was just precious as she tried to take it all in...so much to look at!

Both girls walked the entire park from 9:30am-5pm. They amazed us with their stamina, which was fueled by pure excitement! Time for a break and some yummy popsicles!

Ashlyn's favorite princess is Sleeping Beauty (whom she still refers to as Sleeping "Deauty" or however you want to spell that:) We could not go another step without meeting her. By then Ashlyn had taken off her Snow White dress and was conveniently wearing this pink dress to match Princess Aurora. Another very sweet moment!

Kailey finally took a short in the stroller, which gave her just enough energy to make it through the rest of the day. Here she is sleeping, with her hand still in the popcorn bag.

There was a fun playground at Toon Town that both girls really enjoyed. Here is Kailey with the cute Disneyland hat that Grammie bought her.

We stood in a long line to finally see Mickey Mouse, but what a fun treat it was to get our picture with him.

Hi Everybody! Just wanted to remind you that I'm here too and having a great time!
