The girls and I had a great time visiting with Grammie this week. She came to stay with us while Phil was away on business. What a treat and real blessing to have her here!

4th of July Festivities at Recreation Park

Here is Ashlyn cracking a hollow egg full of confetti on Grammie's head. Apparently this is a tradition here in El Segundo on the 4th. You can buy them by the carton and confetti is found all over town for weeks afterwards. Ashlyn thought this was fabulous and ran after us with her eggs:)

Grandmommy Mary Lou took the girls to Stride Rite shoe store for their first experience having their feet measured and their shoes fitted. While our backs were turned and we were buying them shoes, the girls collaborated in redesigning the store display! They did come away with some very cute shoes and as you can see, had lots of fun.

Here we are at Cartoon Cuts in Gaithersburg, Maryland for Ashlyn's very first hair cut. She did an amazing job sitting still while Mr. Norris washed, trimmed and blow dried her hair. We were so proud of her!
